I stumbled upon Chest of Book's website and the vintage photo of Edward H. Aschermann's design for an early NYC studio. Yesterday's Greenwich Village alcove had me thinking why more people don't use daybeds in Manhattan studios. I like the idea of dual functionality and the aesthetic- for those of us with size-challenged homes.
