Climb: Gramercy

I love the sculptural quality of a well-done staircase and I LOVE this Gramercy loft's airy feel...dramatic changes in ceiling heights and huge windows overlooking a park, it's a dynamic space that doesn't seem busy or distracting. One bedroom, doorman building with lovely, modern finishes in the kitchen and bathroom. The other staircases, well, they are just beautiful!

Deception: Upper West Side

I find that in most of my photos, if the ceiling height is very high, the rooms look smallish or narrow...don;t be fooled! This, for instance, is a very roomy little one bedroom on the Upper West Side that has both space and ceiling heght in it's favor. The bedroom is queen-size with a walk-in closet and there are closets in both the entryway and in the living area...not to mention the storage loft!

Up and Down: Gramercy

This is really one of the cutest studios I've seen in a while! Clean and crisp with skylights (it's bright) in an elevator building. A triplex, you walk into a hallway which has the kitchen and the bathroom (behind a pocket door- nice touch!), up the stairs to the living area and then up another to the sleeping area whick fits a full-size bed. The nice thing is, the stairs are actual stairs and not ladders that make you feel as if your on top of the bunk bed...it's cozy, but still feels adult!

Broder Frauenglass: Chelsea

I mentioned Anne Broder form Broder Frauenglass Interiors in my blog about staging and taking that extra step to rent or sell an apartment. This is a lovely Chelsea loft they recently designed...I love how they exploit the grand scale of the loft, while creating a warm, sophisticated home.

1000+ sf Loft: West Village

Soaring, vaulted ceilings and 1,000+ sf !!! This West Village loft feels soooo New York. It's the best location on a quiet, tree-lined street in the West Village (right by the water.)

Lofty Ambitions: Gramercy Studios

I just saw these studios this morning and WOW! Pretty street, great light and very spacious for the price..okay, so there is carpeting in the sleeping lofts, but with a throw rug and your furniture in...They are well maintained in a doorman building in a beautiful area that's a quick walk to Union Square, Flatiron and the East Village
